Moorhead Town Hall Meeting Airs week of may 2-6, 2012

The Moorhead Town Hall meeting was held at the Hjemkomst Center on Monday night, April 30 and Moorhead Community Access Media videotaped the entire event. The meeting will be broadcast on:
Weds. May 2 at 7pm; Thursday May 3 at 3 am; Friday May 4 at 12 Midnight and 7pm; Saturday May 5 at 12 noon and 7pm and Sunday May 6 at 12 noon, 7pm and 9:25pm.

MCAM will continue to bring special event programs-please stay tuned!

FM ACCESS FILM FESTIVAL Debuts Sunday April 1st!

The first FM ACCESS 2-Minute Film Festival debuts Sunday April 1st at 8pm on Access Channel 99! The fest will also be shown on Fargo Cable Access 99 (see the website for times) and at many other times over the next several weeks. Check out our schedule and get your films ready for the second 2-Miinute Film Fest, coming this summer!

MCAM celebrates HALLOWEEN WEEK!

Moorhead Community Access 99 will celebrate Halloween week beginning Monday, October 24th thru Halloween with a special slate of classic TV shows of the spooky variety and also with the highlight of the week: THE MONSTER SHOW featuring NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD!
The classic zombie film will debut on Friday, October 28th and will replay on Oct. 29th and Halloween!
MCAM will feature some classic episodes of great tv shows like LIGHTS OUT, THRILLER, ALFRED HITCHCOCK PRESENTS, GE THEATRE, CLIMAX and more! Check our schedule for the shows running all this week and look to our regular slate to return on Tuesday, November 1st.
MCAM is also looking forward to a month of Christmas events starting right after Thanksgiving, so stay tuned!

MCAM offers camera and editing classes!

Moorhead Community Access Media has started Fall classes again! Camera and editing classes started September 21 and will continue every other Wednesday evening at 7pm. The one hor classes will help the novice and intermediate user to shoot video and edit their footage. Future classes will feature uploading to the internet and other methods of having your work seen as well as performance for the camera. Email sarah@moorheadaccess.tv to register! Next class is Wednesday, Ocotber 5th at 7pm at the MCAM offices, located in the Moorhead High School, 2300 4th Ave. S. Moorhead, Door 13 (behind the school, adjacent to the parking lot). League of Women Voters Forum on Channel 12

The MONSTER SHOW will debut Friday, September 23rd! The MONSTER SHOW highlights classic – and not so classic – monster and sci-fi movies hosted by a hilarious family and neighbors of ghouls! A cross between “The Addams Family” and “Married with Children”, the dysfunctional vampire clans meet up every Friday for movie night. Join them for the MONSTER SHOW!

Acces Channel 99 will debut MATINEE AT THE THEATRE this Saturday, Sept. 10th at 10 am! MATINEE AT THE THEATRE is a return to the good old days of classic Saturday matinee thrills with cartoons, comedy shorts and chapters of movie serials! FLASH GORDON CONQUERS THE UNIVERSE is the first serial featured and several episodes will air each week. MATINEE AT THE THEATRE will also rebroadcast on Sunday mornings at 9am and beginning September 17th, the previous weeks’ episode will air immediately before the current show, at 8am Saturdays and 7 am Sundays! Tune in for shows you can watch with the entire family on ACCESS CHANNEL 99!

Moorhead Community Access to Air Moorhead High School Football LIVE!

MCAM has just been given permission to air the home games of the Moorhead High School Spuds football team LIVE! Beginning this Friday, September 2nd, MCAM will run the games on ACCESS CHANNEL 99, on CableOne and Midcontinent subscribers in the Moorhead area! The games start at 7pm and are anticipated to be done by 9pm or 9:30pm.

MCAM has been running rebroadcasts of local church services at that time and to ensure that viewers can see the services, MCAM will run these same services on SATURDAY from 12 noon until 3pm and SUNDAY from 12 noon until 3pm each week that home games are scheduled.

The games scheduled are SEPT. 2nd, SEPT. 16, SEPT. 23 and OCTOBER 14. MCAM is also seeking sponsorship to assist in bringing the games to your homes as MCAM is a non-profit and has a very limited budget to operate. Away games would only be possible with sponsorship support and the remaining home games will require some assistance in order to properly broadcast the games.
